Latest Mock draft (NFL.com)

The latest mock draft I have viewed has Mariota falling to us at 13. Personally, I don't think it will happen, but I figured I would throw it up here anyway.

Does make you wonder how the saints would rank Mariotta on their board compared to the waynes, two guards, DVP, bud duprees of the draft world.

That mock is not how I would envision things going. Couple of points:
1. White wont go before Amari Cooper
2. Gregory wont go before Vic Beasley
3. I think the Skins, Jets, Bears, and Rams would pick a QB...
4. Gordon before Gurley?
5. "The Saints’ defensive woes start at the point of attack. Goldman would give the Saints a disruptive playmaker in the middle, leading to more playmaking opportunities for others on the second level"
Uh no...we need a edge rusher and a ILB with Range moreso than a DT (I like our starting DLine)

3. I think the Skins, Jets, Bears, and Rams would pick a QB...

If the top 12 fell like that, they would just have to flat-out hate Dupree and Scherff to pick Mariota. Now if you sub out Landon Collins and Shane Ray for Dupree and Scherff, then MAYBE I can see the Saints considering it, but I think it would still be a long shot.
I still don't think it happens mostly because I can imagine how pissed Brees would be if we passed on help for him, to draft his planned successor.

We're rebuilding around our QB(he still has like 4 years left). We aren't going to draft another one in the 1st round.

Well, all you have to do is make one team that wants Mariota believe you want him, but are willing to trade. But you are right, if they know the Saints aren't taking him, just trade to 14.

all the reason and logic in the world won't accurately predict a draft. For all we know, Jackson Ville Jag U' Hours have Todd Gurley's name already on their draft card at 3!

its just the fans logic every year like if a player falls 52 spots that they think they have the magical ticket for some reason. Ever year we think we have the magic card if player a falls to our spot.
