In response to a question on how tough the last 3 losses were:

quote:

It does hurt when you think about the opportunities that have slipped by, and each game has a level of weight to it that presents a challenge in the way you handle it, but there's nothing you can do about it. We got games in front of us, still have an opportunity, I think it's going to go down to the last week of the season, maybe even the last game and we've got to keep fighting until we get to that point.

Also, doesn't sound like Ryno is coming back soon. In response to a question on the status of Jrue and Ryno:

quote:

They're closer, they're starting to do more things on the floor, but not to the point where I can say they're going to play next week or the week after. I don't think they're there yet.

Yeah, sure.

God-brook is destroying God-slayer Monty right now.

I think Ryno not coming back anytime soon is noteworthy. Many were hoping to see him Wednesday.

We're at the end of his time table so I thought he'd be back next week as well but I'm really not surprised.

It may come down to the last week, but it'll end with us left out regardless

When the Pelicans say a player might return next week... what they really mean is one year and a week

i'm with Monty. i think it will come down to the last 3 or 4 games. i think OKC takes it with 2 games left. which is fine. hopefully that last game against the spurs we can frick with their seeding.

i'm just happy that, however frustrating it may be, this team is competitive when AD is healthy…against every team. that clippers game was frustrating as frick yesterday but it's somewhat fun to be frustrated and having all these close games.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It's also good to know that we would be making the playoffs had we been in the Eastern Conference, albeit that might be the most frustrating realization as a Pels fan.

I think that may be right, even though we've screwed the pooch in the last three games. I think OKC has a "hiccup" along the way, but pulls it out at the end.

And Monty will be coach of this team at least until AD signs his extension. Promise.
