I'm referring to 2 of his last 4 years at UCLA.

He lost control of the program at that point. Doesn't change the fact that he went into Pitt and turned them into a successful program and then came into UCLA and took them back to elite status. This was a tremendous hire for MSU

he had elite talent at pitt? link?

Exactly. I think all of these morons forgot that he revived a very stagnant Pitt program which allowed him to get the UCLA job. He won back to back Big East titles in his 3rd and 4th years at Pitt. That was when the Big East was an even better basketball conf.

This is a good hire for State

As an LSU fan, I don't want to see that guy coaching a division rival. In fact the whole SEC west is all of a sudden looking pretty strong for basketball.

You must not be that much of a basketball fan or else you would know basketball wise that there aren't divisions anymore in SEC.

Plus the conference adding more and more good coaches is good for the entire conference.

Honestly I forgot, but I still don't want to hear MSU fans if we lose to them, which was my point.

Of coarse it is for the big picture. But for LSU it is another coach that we are going to have to beat now.

Meh, Kentucky lost to Florida 3 times last season and still made it the National title game.

I don't think anyone in the ACC was upset about adding Pitino and Boheim.

Conference prestige matters when it comes to getting in to the tournament and seeding.

.....We ain't Kentucky. lol Could mean us not making the tourny. Obviously I hope/and think we are getting better every year, but right this second we are a bubble tourny type team.
