Its been fun but this one's been argued to death. I'm going to back out and leave the rest to SCH.

The club operated at a loss every year, just the owner pumps money to cover it.

Yes it is bc, those things can be FFP write offs. The debt from that can be looked as good debt.

You blast then for building a team the "wrong way", then when they invest heavily in youth/developmental clubs you blast them for only doing it to get around the rules and then you wonder why I call your criticisms unfair and baseless.

Not all b/c City had not planned to invest infrastruc until FFP was agreed to.

They could have thumbed their nose at UEFA and fought it, instead they agreed to slow their spending and focus on development elsewhere. Nobody put a gun to their head.

There's nothing to be said anymore. He's not going to change his mind so I'm moving on to other things.

And why is that a problem?

I don't care about their motives. I think circumventing FFP is a good thing.

So what? They still did it. Your arguments lack consistency because you aren't being intellectually honest when forming them. You have an agenda you want to push first, so your positions have to fit that agenda and are quickly and easily exposed.

The reached basically a salary cap both parties deemed was fair. B/c they broke the rules.

If they would have kept breaking them the club would end up in really bad shape.

They could, and in my opinion should, have fought them in the courts.

FFP pretty blatantly violates European Law but I'm afraid the current challenges will fall short due to lack of sufficient standing. What Europe needs is an Al Davis type to fight this.

I'm fundamentally and morally opposed to FFP as an unlawful and blatant violation of basic economic rights. It's a much bigger issue to me than just soccer.
