Anyone familiar with the price norm when it comes to pouring cement for driveway/sidewalks?

Currently buildng. Contract allowance says "2,400 sq foot (all flat concrete work)"

We requested to add some extra slab and a few extra sidewalks behind the house and garage. I'm just wondering what to expect to be charged for the over budget cement?
Any help would be appreciated.

So if im adding 553 sq feet of 4" thick cement sidewalks/carport, that'd be 184 sq yards I guess. 184 x's $2.40 would mean the cement is only costing $441.60?

The concrete is going to be around $105 a yard delivered. Add your labor and mat cost to that.

Basically could someone give me an estimate/prediction on what to expect to add 553 sq foot of cement over budget through my contractor?

First off it is concrete not cement. Approx cost is $45-$50 a square yard for commercial work 4" think. 551 sq ft = 61 sq yds. so about @2,800-3,000.

Residential can be a little cheaper.

A yard is a cubic yard of concrete. Typically one truck holds 8-12 yards. Usually just 8 though. Material costs are around a 100 bucks a yard like previous posters said.

Concrete Price Calculator

Don't know how accurate this is, but I would imagine it's not too far off.

Quotes for labor/materials with form, float and finishing on the slabs I'm having done for 4" was in the neighborhood of ~$5-6 per sq/ft, or about $325-350/cubic yard. That included waste and haul in cause a truck isnt accessible to either slab area without damaging the driveway or yard.

If your getting it done while the driveway is getting poured it will might be cheaper, based on quantity ordered.

Yep, $5/SF is a good rule of thumb to use for sidewalks in the commercial world and they're typically 4" thick. Not sure about residential.
