Agreed. With each character, Phil has turned into an annoying douche.

So true. He's gone from an Everyman to a complete a-hole.

He's too likeable. The mild mannered moustached balding fat guy who was bullied a kid, lost his parents, gave a kidney to his brother. Theres gotta be something more.

He's had plenty to time to come up with a story in case he ever ran across a colony.

Thus far we've got no antagonist in the show. I feel like they're setting up Phil as sort of the boy who cried wolf. He's going to find out something about Todd but the ladies won't believe him.

I haven't watched the episodes yet from today, but if they just keep adding people, the whole premise of the show is pointless.

I definitely think they needed to add some people. It just needs to stay close to 5. Conflict between people is what makes good television.

I'm frustrated on Phil's behalf.

Oh yeah. Sucks for him. Melissa (January Jones) is a smokeshow.

It's weird seeing her in this show as compared to Betty in Mad Men.

Totally agree. I do not find Betty attractive at all. Can't get past her bitchiness.

She definitely looks better in jeans than those big hoop dresses.

Same. How did the worst of the human gene pool somehow be the only humans to survive?

And Jason Sudakis used to hit that for a few years and now he's with Olivia Wilde.

I actually hated these two episodes. Just hated them.

Agree 100%. Stale predictable writing. Sophomoric inane plot.

I understand that sex angst is the level of sophistication of most of society, but as the last people around, they could at least come up with some interesting situations to weave into it.

But as more people are added, Phil becomes increasingly awkward and completely unlike able.

Definitely agree with this, though I still really like the show.

I was thinking last night, they show Todd driving toward Tucson, and then the title ("LAST MAN ON EARTH") pops up on the screen. And I was like "They should change the name of the show if this ends up being another guy.

As cringe-worthy as Phil is at times, it's hilarious to see all of his frickups and how he deals with them. For example, the fat jokes over and over (and over) got stale real fast, but then seeing him react to ole girl hooking up with Todd was hilarious.

I'm digging the show, but I stand by my questioning that it may not have nough of a mainstreeam audience to stay on the air for long. Also, usually when a network starts dumping new episodes of shows back to back in a single night, it's bad news for the show. Hopefully this isn't the case here.

I lol'd when they were sitting around talking about SR when Todd first got there and Phil goes "yep, looking at a real Shank-head over here".

When he kept trying to interrupt them and was like "Melissa.....Melissa........Melissa........it's my favorite movie too," I busted out laughing.
