Well, considering we only threw the ball about 20times last season, and our leading WR averages under 3 catche's per game... I would say 3 targets is about right.
And Chark is the type of WR that could average 18+ ypc as well. He doesn't need a lot of targets to make an impact.

And yea I agree with Lester...
Quinn and Diarse are the favorites to be the WR3 and WR4. But that doesn't mean that nobody else will get an opportunity to get on the field. We will be playing a lot of WRs IMO, depending on the situation and opponent. I mean nthe top 4 WRs, Tyron Johnson, and Chark will all get on the field for sure. And maybe even someone like Kevin Spears as well.
Like I said earlier, we've got a lot of playmakers on this team and all of them bring something different to the table.

Coach Les Miles was enthusiastic about developments on the quarterback and defensive fronts. Statistics released from the practice session were limited, but Miles highlighted two touchdown passes caught by redshirt freshman Avery Peterson and a grab by sophomore Travin Dural.

Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris evenly divided duty under center with the first and second Tiger offense to give each candidate a chance to shine.

Miles also applauded defensive efforts from redshirt freshman tackle Frank Herron and sophomore defensive tackle Christian LaCouture. Both will start when the Tigers take on Wisconsin in the season-opener.

A lot of people on here hyped on Avery Peterson,, mainly because of his last name. All Miles said was Avery Peterosn caught 2 TD passes... That's it. A lot of people on here thought he was going to be on the field for us and they only said that because he's PP little brother and didn't really know anything about him. Also mentioned Dural right there, who had a great year.
Lac started every game last year. And wasnt Herron in the dog house early last year? And has Herron switches back to DE or is he still at DT?
Where did I ever say Chark will be starting or whatever? I even said it will be a hard time for any WR not named Dural and Dupre to get consistent PT. Just saying that Chark seems to be having a good spring and has stood out in both scrimmages so far. Seems to be improving and taking the next step in his career. That's it.
And I'm not saying Miles doesn't say a bunch of stuff that never happens. Because he does. But he also says things that do happen.

Has he been returning any kicks/punts?
If he hasn't, he needs to be put back there ASAP.

Yea he's very very very fast.
I remember reading an article before the season started in like August and Les said he's probably the fastest player on the team. And if he's not the fastest, he's top 3.
He fast.

Chark will start. Book it.

ahead of who? dural? dupre?
I really don't take Miles word at much when he singles out one player to contribute. Remember that Harris was going to play at Arkansas? I specifically remember prior to the 2011 season Miles singled out Terrence Magee as a guy he expected to contribute. But he rarely played.

that means that someone had to throw them against what I think most can agree is a pretty damn good secondary.
Im starting to wonder...

Remember the scrimmage was reported at @ 130 plays. This is basically two games and does everyone think White, Paris, and KT were the only CBs that participated. Please, it was a spring scrimmage, do not read much into it...Hopefully Chark will give the Tigers another weapon. If we as fans have to worry about the secondary, LSU is in for a world of hurt next fall. I know we all want info. I like Les, but we will not get much from him.
