Dupree's highlights aren't overly impressive for me, i don't know if my expectations are out of whack but he's an athletic LB with average instincts and moves.

that's why I am not sure he will be elite. the problem is that we have pigeonholed the OLB position to be just pass rusher, and that's not smart. to be considered an elite OLB today, you have to have 12+ sacks; the res of your accomplishments don't matter. that's silly, and it is media created. I believe it is why this staff has avoided drafting them in the first, because they don't want to use a top pick on a one trick pony.

Dupree offers the ability to be a do it all OLB. We don't need another Galette out there. We need a Ricky Jackson that will put the fear in QBs, RBs and TEs alike.

Damn. That's pretty close. They just cut/pasted ours and shuffled a few positions.

Now that we are closer, I think this is worth revisiting to see how everyone has changed their opinion since we did this poll. My top 13 has changed for certain:

quote:

1 Leonard Williams
2 Dante Fowler
3 Danny Shelton
4 Kevin White
5 Amari Cooper
6 Devante Parker
7 Bud Dupree
8 Brandon Scherff
9 La'El Collins
10 Trae Waynes
11 Vic Beasley
12 Randy Gregory
13 Shane Ray

Now I have it:

1 Amari Cooper
2 Dante Fowler
3 Leonard Williams
4 Kevin White
5 Devante Parker
6 Danny Shelton
7 Bud Dupree
8 Vic Beasley
9 Marcus Mariota
10 Arik Armstead
11 Brandon Scherff
12 Lolell Collins
13 Trae Waynes

Really outside of my top 8, I am not happy with any of the others at 13. I can see why there is so much chatter of us trading up; however, this is to me all the more reason to trade back where these players past the top 8 are more appropriately drafted.

not a bad exercise if peeps wanted to do it again. Prolly more traction closer to the draft.

Shelton, Ray, and Waynes prolly the biggest fallers since these results.

2 Dante Fowler 2.25 21
3 Brandon Scherff 5.42 6
4 Amari Cooper 5.79 5
5 Vic Beasley 6.04 7
6 Kevin White 6.46 2
7 Danny Shelton 6.83 4
8 Randy Gregory 7.79 2
9 Lael Collins 8.26 0
10 Trae Waynes 8.48 0
11 Shane Ray 9.5 0
12 Jameis Winston 10.20
13 Bud Dupree 10.50
14 Devante Parker 10.56
