He's a very solid player, but his development from his freshman to senior season was pretty minimal. He's always been a player that barrels into the lane and gets most of his points from the stripe.

Correctamudo. They are a very average team. Same level imo as MSU this year. They just didn't get the izzo hype.

Nicholls State may be headed to Omaha from what I've seen. I feel ya, Bro.

That's disappointing. I hadn't followed his career at all. I was surprised at his combination of size and quickness when he was out defending the perimeter. I guess your explanation is why I've never heard any buzz.

I don't want to take too much away from him, because most teams around the country would welcome a player with his production and experience, but I've been a bit disappointed with his development. He's been a pretty similar player for the last four years. Over a third of his points came from the free throw line this season, which led the country. Can't fault a guy for knowing how to draw fouls, but, again, he left something to be desired, even among Iowa fans on their boards. Admittedly, I might be nitpicking a bit.

But, who knows, maybe he becomes the talk of the tournament! He sure had himself a nice game yesterday.

Iowa is either really good or really bad. Lately they have sucked. Consider the Davidson game an aberration. I expect them to get blown out the next game.

LOL Iowa just got a favorable matchup against Davidson. They went 7-7 against tournament teams. They got destroyed by Wisconsin both times they played. They lost to Michigan State handily. They are only the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference.

Pick Iowa at your own peril. If they manage to make it deep in the tourney they will be crushed by Duke or Georgetown or Utah.

They aren't even the best team left in the field from Iowa. The Hawkeyes are bipolar as anything, they could just as easily come out the next game and lose by 20.

Northern Iowa Panthers are the real deal though, and they are consistent. Seth Tuttle is a 1st rounder at PF and will make you forget about Aaron White. UNI beat Iowa by 12 in the regular season

I've watched both these teams all season long.

It's exciting as hell, but it's not a good way of determining which teams are any good.

Kentucky-Gonzaga would be an interesting match-up

I have watched way too much B1G bball this year. Iowa is the definition of a Jekyll and Hyde team.

Kentucky can beat any team in this tournament by 15, not a bold prediction
