It's a dream in my opinion. I think Mickey comes back now though, I did not mid season.
A team of
Quarterman
Blakeney
Simmons
Mickey
Martin
with Hornsby, Victor and Patterson off the bench
Would be a top 5 team IMO.
But Martin is gone for sure IMO, maybe Newman comes down.

Putting aside the disappointment of last night's games, I have always thought both Martin and Mickey should return for one primary reason: both are very poor on-ball defenders. Smaller, less talented players routinely have their way with them in one-on-one situations - which don't come up as much in college - such that I don't see how either of them could garner minutes in the NBA despite the good things they bring. Unless you are a freak on offense - and neither Martin or Mickey is - you do not get minutes in the NBA unless you can stay in front of your man. If they do go pro, I wish them well, but both would be well served to stay in school, get better, and give themselves a better chance to stick in the Association.

Don't forget about the possibility of landing Malik Newman. But after seeing Martin's reaction last night, my confidence has gone a up from about 5% him coming back to 15-20% lol. if we have M&M back next year, we are #1 overall going into the season I believe

Our basketball program could use that excitement if we land Newman and Mickey and Martin stay. It could be a very special team.
