Well hopefully this encourages him to come back with unfinished business.

That's why others needed to step up. Sure, he struggled at the end but M & M carried this team all year. We are sub .500 without them.

Well not all year. Like i said Mickey has been absent for a month now.

Mickey had 12 pts, 14 reb, and 6 blocks while playing injured. How can you call that bad?

Those 12 points were on 13 shots. That was bad.

That video showed me he truly cares. He's had a rough stretch lately, but like others have said, we don't make the tourney without him. Thank you to Jordan and all of the team for giving us fans the first invite to the big dance in 6 years. Wished the outcome was different, but I do realize that about 200 other teams would've killed for our spot in the tournament.

Here's to next year

I completely agree with the OP.

I want LSU to win. I trust all our sports teams want to win. However, win or lose I want any LSU sports team to care as much as I and the majority of fans care with the support we show. That caring brings heart and I cannot ask for anything more (win or lose).

to Mickey and Martin

Hope they are back next year - the team needs the leadership they could provide.

Right. Well he definitely cared last night. I cant fault the guy for having a bad game we he gave it his all. We all fail in life sometimes.

ey was bad. Mickey has loafed for a month straight. The Tennessee game was one of the most "i dont want to be here" games ive ever seen.

Typical clueless comment- equate results with your perceived lack of effort. Ever stop to think maybe his performance was hampered by unreported injuries or maybe illness that he was playing through?

Or maybe just a stretch where a player does not play as well as he has in the past?

you dont think that his username is sarcastic in nature and is poking at our fanbase?

Quite the leap you made there.

I thought about it but regardless he simply didnt care during that month stretch. You really cant pretend he did.

Last night was much different.

Enough about the last month. We are talking about the last game.

Simmer down, pal. It's ok to acknowledge he has played poorly of late and it lost us some games.

Back to the point of the thread, it is heartbreaking to see that video. I won't deny it. Mickey is/was a big part of our team. He's still a tiger and I wish him the best, whether he stays or goes.

My jimmies are rustled at the loss, so I'm probably being irrational

Well I'm not. I'm talking about both. Last month was used to show the complete contrast in how he played last night.

Does it? Because I only remember Mickey going 0-4 at the line.

Do you? Do you also remember TQ missing a couple of FTs? Do you remember Darcy not blocking out and allowing a rebound put back? Do you remember Patterson missing a 3? Do you remember Martin missing a jump shot and FTs? Do you remember Hornsby missing the runner? Do you remember Gray missing a lay up? Any of these would result in LSU +2 or +3 and LSU being in a winning position.

To blame the loss on one man is asinine, especially when that one man put up a double double and 6 blocks. The man obviously feels like s#$t for his misses down the stretch, but this team would never have been in this situation without him. Definitely hurts me to see one of our players so inconsolable. Yet, unlike some professional athletes, he sat there after the game and answered every question.

I have been a vocal critic of Jones' on court coaching skills, so I'm no sunshine pumper. It was a roller coaster year with peaks and valleys. But, I appreciate the effort these young men gave last night. Proud of them and hopefully we'll have better years ahead.

I remember all of those things happening. And I've already said that my pet peeve of losing enormous leads makes me irrational at times.

I agree with the bulk of your post though. It takes a man to face the questions and cameras after that game. Props to the team for that. Also, frick the camera guy for keeping Mickey on that long in that state, that was heartbreaking to watch

Watched the video. Didn't read any of the other comments in this thread. Just wanted to say that the OP is right, if you don't feel for this kid, you have no soul.

I loved watching Mickey play this year. I'm very honored to be a Tiger fan after that game and I can't wait until next season, it's gonna be awesome…and I would LOVE it if Jordan Mickey decided to be a part of it again.

Now get your mind right, go get Jarell on board and lets do this.
