We beat Ark at their place without Mickey. We used Epps, Bridgewater and Malone. That rotation would have worked to spell our bigs last night. Mickey played 38 minutes. Yes he should have been more mentally tough and hit a couple of those ft's but our coaches should have given him a few more breaks. He was gassed in the last few.

I really would love to see Jones get back to coaching like he did in the first half, he was fired up last night for that first half. He needs to learn how to work a ref during the game. N.C. state was getting ticky tack fouls called against us, while on the other end they were able to hack away. It probably wouldn't have mattered last night since we went into choke mode at the line but its something Jones can improve on.

I hated seeing Jones being head cheerleader. I think he could have found some coachable moments to keep them centered.

Also, I don't agree on the refs, we got to the line more than double than NCState. I really think he should worry more about ingame management of players and scheme.

Every game goes with the exact same script, it has just gotten old.

You make some salient points however before theirshooting going cold in the final 8 minutes they were 24 or 48 from the field and 12 of 16 at the line. So what should he have changed?

The shots just didn't go down at the end even a couple of close range shots. The FTs became mental.

A coach should not change what is working. Who could anticipate such a dry spell? They have won numerous games this season with essentially the same rotation and they were still able to muster enough to prevail.

Either the player performs or he does not in that situation, but even a subpar performance would have still usually netted another basket or two and a few made free throws. This was just one of those quirky things that sometimes happens in sports.
