His adjustments compared to Johnny's was the difference. He tried running with LSU and got embarrassed. Slowed it down, got back on D and forced us to run our offensive set. That killed LSU all year. Offensive sets were awful. Nova would've beat LSU by 20.

They are 18-20 year olds. They weren't tired. They were also on 6 days rest.

Lets not act like he did something special. LSU didn't score a FG in the last 1/4 of the game, despite some good looks. Didn't shoot free throws worth a shite either.

*unless Gottfried was yelling "hoooooo" "misssss itttt" when we were shooting free throws, then he might deserve some credit.

He shut down our inside play, putting us out on the perimeter knowing we only have an offense based on off the dribble play. We have zero set calls down low

Why did he call plays for three pointer after timeouts that they missed consistently. Not good coaching

Wonder why he didn't do that all year. How brilliant would he have been if half those 6 straight free throws had fallen.

What if those five or six shots NCS made which bounced around and fell in had not rolled in like the last basket?

He is a shitty coach. They were 2 for their last 9.....but squeezed in the last shot.

NC state did nothing to wIn. Lsu did everything to lose

Shutting down LSU by getting back on d instead of full court pick ups and forcing LSUs hand to make them run offensive sets isn't cosching?

Gottfried's team played elite free throw defense down the stretch. Definitely a coaching clinic.
