Anyone ever gone to Denver in the Summer? I'm going with a group of friends and we are trying to figure out things to do. Ideally we like to spend as little time in Denver and more time in the mountains. I've been to Breck in the winter, boulder in the summer.
I'd like to go tubing down a river, hiking, staying in a resort/cabin, brewery hop, etc.

Arkansas River near South Park has a couple great rafting companies.

You can rent a bike and go from Vail Pass to Breckenridge without pedaling, its downhill the whole way.

Check out all the Fort Collins breweries.

What are the odds of me making that alive?

Wut? Its a paved trail. Easy. Runs along i70

Also, go to Rocky Mountain National Park. You can drive all the way to the top of Mt Evans as well (14500 ft)

It would be more fun to pick a 14er and actually hike it.

Biking sounds like an awesome idea, I've been to tons of breweries in denver/boulder. Why the hell are there so many, they are literally on every corner

It's not that difficult -- Mt Evans is a pretty easy hike

Depending on how far out of Denver you want to go, here were some of my favorite things. Hike to st. Mary's glacier, Rocky Mountain national park, garden of the gods in Colorado Springs, pikes peak, Molly Kathleen mine, riding the racer things at the ski resorts, Denver also has one of the absolute best water parks in the nation.

Drive up Loveland Pass to the continental Divide. Hike up either side of the divide from there.

If you want a really hair raising drive, go up Mount Evans. If you go up early enough Mirror Lake will still be frozen.

Estes Park is awesome with Rocky Mountain National Park right there.

I second the Loveland Pass drive. It's a really cool drive with some awesome sites.

I actually like colorado a lot better during the summer than during the winter...

here's what I would do in Denver:

Eat at the Denver chop house
barhop in LoDo
Catch a colorado rockies game
denver zoo and/or natural history museum
Coors brewery tour

I would recommend you drive up to Steamboat and spend a few days:

Take a guided fly fishing trip
Guided rafting trip or tubing trip (which you can do in town on the yampa)
rent a mountain bike and bike down the ski mountain
guided horse riding or jeep trip in the mountains

if that is not enough, you can go down south and tour the Air Force Academy...
