Richard Branson interested in Branson, MO

quote:

A British Billionaire says he is eyeing opportunities in the Ozarks, specifically in Branson.

quote:

In a tweet posted on Monday, the man who Forbes estimates to be worth roughly $4.8 billion dollars said, "I may have started 400 companies, but my great-great uncle Ruben S. Branson founded a city."

The WRVHS article says Ruben S. Branson founded the city of Branson in 1882, and owned a general store and post office with the first registered address of the city.

quote:

The blog of the self made billionaire goes on to say, "now that I have traced our lineage to Branson, I'm excited to find out more. From Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede to the stunning Ozark Mountains, Branson puts the Show in the Show Me State."

Richard Branson sent out another tweet on Monday that said, "exploring opportunities in Branson, Missouri - want to paint the town red."

"I think first and foremost, the PR value across a greater, broader demographic --across the world, is huge to Branson," Seifried said.

"Second thing, the economic benefit," Seifried said, "Whatever idea [Richard Branson] has, is no doubt, going to be a positive impact on the community."

Ah HELL YEAH! Bring those billions to SW Missouri, Sir Richard!

I agree that 5 mile long Hwy 76 is terrible.

But Table Rock Lake, Big Cedar Lodge, Top of the Rock, etc in the Ozark country surrounding the town is crazy beautiful.

Fools and their money are soon parted. Sounds like Missouri is the place to go if you want to be a tycoon.

Nah. Branson is far enough away from Table Rock that there is nothing to contaminate its beauty. That lake is amazing.

The Branson strip is cheesy. Everyone freely admits that. But it's only about 5 miles long.

Table Rock Lake, Big Cedar Lodge, Top of the Rock, and everything surrounding the lake including Silver Dollar City are the real jewels of Branson, MO.

Wonderful place to live (I live 30 minutes away from the lake).

Yes and no. He no longer is in Branson full time, but he comes back during the Christmas months (October, November, December) to do a "Dinner with Yakof" show.

Be there for bachelor party for Memorial Day.

Rented a badass house FOR CHEAP AS HELL to sleep 20 people comfortably on a lake.

Just like we do sometimes in Gatlinburg
