I guess this could go on the poli board or Outdoor board, but it's more funny than political.

Thibodaux city councilman Chip Badeaux has been arrested twice in the last few years for duck hunting violations. This time, he's gonna serve jail time. Anyway, at last night's council meeting, a concerned citizen decided to tell Chip how he felt about a criminal serving in office and calls on the Council to ask him to resign.

it gets awkward...

It's about 6 minutes in. When the guy comes to the podium

What kind of duck hunting violations are we talking? I mean he's doing jail time so it must be pretty significant. And only in thibodaux would a councilman wear jeans to a meeting.

I got as far as the guy apologizing for bringing it up and hopefully no chip didn't see him as an enemy.

Had to turn it off. It was uncomfortable to watch.

That was great. Chip is the a-hole. Not the citizen.

City Council meetings are the best and worst of our government in action. I've had the pleasure of sitting through an uncountable number of various council/police jury meetings throughout south Louisiana. Some days you fall asleep until your item comes up. Other times you're on the edge of your seat in amazement of the utter incompetence of both the general public and our elected officials. It's amazing we are all alive.

Chip is the a-hole and he should have been called out. I hate jackasses like him that think they are above the law because of their position.

Mr. Hebert, you're a real a-hole. I mean a real a-hole.

The first time he shot like 45 whistling ducks. I think he was still on probation and got caught shooting lead, so this time he got 30 days.

It's not unreasonable for a private citizen to ask the City Council to consider asking a fellow Councilmember to resign after the repeat commission of a crime.

It's also not unreasonable for that same consideration for the Councilman calling a private citizen an a-hole at a council meeting.

Based on what I just saw, that guy doesn't deserve to be in the service of the public.

The guy sounded like a pretty well respected former councilman.

This looks terrible all the way around for this Chip clown.
