Just let me know what y'all would prefer. I personally like the Nuttall Oaks, White Oaks, and Sawtooth Oaks. White Oaks tend to produce acorns in about 2-3 years, and the Nuttall/Sawtooth around 6 years. The Nuttall/Sawtooth put out the bigger acorns that are like candy to the deer.

Bitter pecan and walnut. I work about a mile or two up the street.

I had called them and was told they are out. What would yall recommend to plant on 30 acres in basin? Typically pretty wet area. I was thinking of planting more of what's on there pecan and willow oak. Would white oak grow that environment?
White Oaks like moist or wet soil as long as it drains off ok. They tend to do a little better than some of the others.
Dad is gonna grab 100ea of the following: Nuttall, Sawtooth, White Oak, Pecan, and Walnut. He said to bring some sort of paper towels, newspaper, ect to keep the roots wet. He also suggested planting them in 1 gallon buckets until you can get them in the ground. That way you can transplant them when it is good for you.

Anyone interested can email me biohzrd5335@yahoo
Try and let me know how many of each species you would like so I can tell to get enough for everyone interested. Remember it is always better to get some extras due to some not making it for who knows what.

Jimbeam, we bought 200 or so cypress in 94, were told 50% or less.
They ALL lived.
If they aren't dead when you get an, and you keep em watered and not baking in the sun, you can get them to live.

Pepp, how many you want? I may be able to help you out.
I can get a few extras when I pick up mine and put them in a container if it's not too many.

I don't need many...around 10(20 at the very most) I don't even know how many are available to us...
...logistics in getting to them before they die is my main concern, that and not knowing when I'll be in BR area again...I'm sure I'll make a few more baseball games though, that's why I was asking if someone from the NS area was getting any, I could just get them to collect mine and pick them up from close by...whatever you could pick up would be appreciated though.
