I guess the point of the thread is to show there is alot of good WRs later in the draft. Theres no way we use #13 for a WR. I think we should hold out and use one of the 3rd round picks for a WR. JMHO
Agreed. And thought the same last year as well. Don't get me wrong, I love Cooks. But considering how stacked that WR class was, I thought we could have gone a diff route with the 1st round pick and then go WR 2nd or later. But a lot of that is because SJB couldn't get on th field and was passed up by UDFA.
And I like Strong a lot. He reminds me of Michael Floyd more than Colston though.

Boise St. Is having their pro day, interested in seeing how Matt Miller looks.

i agreed with this before we added these extra picks. With the extra picks we can afford to take one in the 1st, and even later in the draft.
of course i dont know the team's attitude on guys like Toon, Brandon Coleman, or Seantavious Jones. Andy Tanner? Do we really want to play him in a real game? I don't. We need a new influx of talent there.

I see what your saying and I don't necessarily disagree but don't you think it would be better to use those picks on LBs or O-line?

I quit reading once I saw that you didn't have Coates as a potential target.. Strong at 31 would be an awful pick also

It's going to come down to value.
Left tackles= earlier
other OL= later
rush LBs= earlier
normal every down LBs= later

Tre McBride in the 4th or later could be a huge steal.
We don't have a 4th, so if we don't use the #78 in the 3rd then we don't pick again until #140 in the 5th

Yea I just meant that McBride could be a late round steal.

You feel this way even though we have a hole at guard and a hole at ILB?

Oh I agree but will he be there at #180 is the question? Dude looks like he could really be something special in the NFL with a little work. I really like that Deontay Greenberry kid too, and he should be there at #180

im not saying we dont have holes, i'm saying we cant reach for players. If there are no G or ILB worthy of the 13th pick, and there are one of the top 3 WRs there, or the top CB, it's just better value.
find your G or ILB at 31, or in the 2nd round. That's prime positioning for those players.

I'm a little undecided about him. Seems to have talent but he also seems to drop alot of great passes.

Why do you think that? I 100% disagree!

#31 WR or ILB
#44 WR, ILB, OLB

I'm all for taking a chance on Green-Beckham. Definitely a head case but has intangibles through the roof

I agree but I think he ends up going before #31 pick. maybe as high as #16 to the Texans.

was slow as shite at the combine (4.70), but came back and ran 4.47 at his pro day. Very intriguing
