Darren Sproles type, can bring so much to our offense.
PR, KR, RB, WR.

First footage ive seen of him. Bring in as UDFA and see if he makes it now that Cadet is gone. Can take over return duties.

I like it for backup purposes if he can play special team. Khiry backing up Ingram as the between the tackles runner. We need a Spiller backup for outside the tackles in case he goes down. A 4th RB better be a demon on Special Teams though

Cadet got a damn job before Pierre Thomas. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

If the team is truly transitioning to a more run oriented offense, this makes sense. Odds are the RBs will miss some playing time during the course of the season and backups will be needed.

PT is on the wrong side of 30 man. Thats just life for a RB. I think we all believe that PT will be more productive than Cadet, but he is in a good situation in New England.....2 year deal, too. Crazy talk.

That's life for an NFL running back over 30. It's very easy to replace them with rookies...add to that the depreciating value of the running back position these days, it's hard out there for a pimp.

Our offense really was a mutha phucka when we had reggie or sproles involved in the game. Sproles and Reggie Bush were coming out the backfield, lined up against a LB, whether it was a screen or flat route-anything we did to gets the ball in there hands, we were stealing, those guys created mix matches all over the place, then drew could pick defenses apart. Think about last year, when it counted, we could never stay on the field and convert 3rd downs, drew would force something and the drives would always end. Not saying Spiller cant do it, but we need a guy like this very bad to help Sean play calling and drew's comfortability in the pocket, also to change field for us on special teams.

Yes, but I fully expect him to get a job, definitely in time for camp.

any chance we can sign PT back for the vet minimum?

as much as I love PT, now that we have Ingram, Spillers, and Khiry, I don't really want him back…hard to get your backs feeling good and in the tempo of a game when you have to shuffle between 4 guys touching the ball.

He really reminds me of Sproles. We could definitely use a PR/KR. I would rather us not have to use cooks or spiller for these duties.

Spiller... Saunders...

Doesn't feel like we need to clog up another roster spot with a return specialist.

The Saints should probably avoid using spiller for returns due to his injury history. I would look at him as more of a back up for CJ in the role of pass catching RB. Whether it's Murphy, someone else in the draft or an UDFA. Most likely the Saints go UDFA than anything given their success.
