So Victor, who only got 4 minutes a game at Arizona is going to replace either Martin or Mickey? Simmons is good enough to replace one of them, Victor ain't on that level.

And Martin and Mickey arent at the level to start at Arizona either, so it worked out.

Mickey isn't going anywhere unless he has a REALLY good NCAAT, he better hope he at least gets us to Villanova

You have no idea how Victor will play next season for us. NOBODY saw Mickey doing what he did his freshman year here. From practice reports Victor has been doing very very well.

He played behind 3 experienced NBA draft picks at Arizona so it's a bad thing to go by.

I feel the same way but you never know with these kids. If we get at least one of the M&M boys to return, we are going to be very solid next year

Fact is he has been completely MIA for a month now and shot his way down every draft board just about. Martin is looking like a fringe 1st rounder and Mickey is out of several mocks now. I dunno how good he has to play in the NCAAT to be draftable but like I said I don't think 1 and done will do him any favors because it probably means he didn't play well at all.

Martin i can understand... he's pretty much ready, though he could really help his draft position by coming back, but whatever....

Mickey i don't.... he has a ton of block, but his offensive game needs more work, and he hasn't really shown which position he projects to play in the NBA... he's small for a PF, and not talented enough to play the 3.... IMO, he's gonna be undrafted if he comes out this year....

Mickey is what he is. A high energy defensive player that will come off the bench for ~8-10 minutes a game

Martin could come back and be a lottery pick

Not enough. Got to be good enough up front so that Victor comes off the bench.

Mickey is not going to the NBA yet. We get him back one more year. Jordy H. is wrong on this one.

Here is what is wrong with our fanbase and why we get so upset. Everyone is thinking in absolutes and in their own mindsets. Just because he doesn't get drafted doesn't mean he can't go. Would it be ignorant? Absolutely. Maybe he just doesn't like college, though. Hates going to class? Even if he doesn't get drafted at all, there is a 100% chance he either goes to the D-League or overseas and starts earning money immediately. He's a 20 year old kid. I don't know his family situation or what his mentors are like, but for many 20 year olds (myself included when I was that age) they lack foresight. If someone tells Mickey that he can go and get $45k for the next 2 years and work on his game, then after those 2 years make an NBA team, he will highly consider that.

So stop saying just because he won't get drafted means there is no chance he goes

I hope Europe is good to M&M. Martin could maybe be an NBA backup. Mickey is a D-league, euro player at best.

JOB3 only sees the court in blowouts, and he was better than either Mickey or Martin.

They will be allowed to ask GM's where they would be picked.

Reality is a harsh teacher.

Neither one has what you would call a complete game.
They can make some real money if they practice under the LSU coaches in the off season. Basketball is allowed to work on fundamentals in a couple of off season practice periods.

OK so what NBA players with complete games are we comparing them to...are we to assume they wouldn't get good coaching in the D League are in Europe??? Maybe they are ready to move on?? Not you specifically but most fans use selfish thinly veiled attempts to keep them at LSU by nit picking and attacking their shortcomings. If J Mickey is an undersized 4 and not skilled enough to play the 3 why should he play for LSU next yr when Ben Simmons is so much better??? Actually agree that reality is a harsh teacher and I'm selfish for LSU but let's stop being critical of these kids and support their decisions Im sure the coaches talk to them and point out strengths and weaknesses

How many players who get drafted have this? Hell, how many players in the NBA have this?
