I don't have a rig and I'm trying to figure out if I can run Ori and the Blind Forest.

Here are their listed req's on Steam:

System Requirements
MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.2GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ @ 2.8 GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 240 GT or Radeon HD 6570 – 1024 MB (1 gig)
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Hard Drive: 8 GB available space
RECOMMENDED:
OS: Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core i5 2300 or AMD FX6120
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 550 Ti or Radeon HD 6770
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 8 GB available space

Here's what I have:

Windows 8 (64-bit)
AMD A8-5500 APU @ 3.2 GHz
8 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7560D
over a terabyte free HD space

I thought I should be all good, but systemrequirementslab.com says No. Not enough "dedicated video RAM" only 768MB with a 1GB minimum. That's the only thing I don't pass. Is that a dealbreaker?

Thanks for you help and patience

I noticed this didn't get answered in the top thread so hopefully someone can help you out.

Thanks for your response. That's actually the same site.

I just find it odd that it says my RAM and processor and video card are fine, but not enough "dedicated video RAM". That's usually not listed under req's and it's not on the Steam store site.

At the same time, I don't wanna buy a game I can't play.

If you don't get a response here try the Steam forums, they are usually pretty good a answering questions on there, especially since this game is very popular right now.

I don't have the game, but I can't imagine you not being able to run it. Isn't it a 2D game?

Like most 2D games these days it's 2.5D

The gameplay is in a 2D plane, but the graphics are 3D

I took this advice and they were fantastic. I actually had a little chat with the developer. He said he was cool with me getting a pirate as a demo

Long story short, it works
