What was with Garrett and Leonard at the end of the 1st one?

I thought the first episode was great. LADDERS!!!!! 2nd one definitely wasn't as good.

I just saw that as them using Abed's already established characteristics to address upfront all the changes and criticisms. I liked it. Didn't seem out of place to me.

One thing to think about is these episodes are about 5 minutes longer than a normal TV episode. So, while Harmon is great at what he does, he gets up his own arse a lot. Without the limitations of being 22 minutes, there is going to be a lot of shite that slips into these episodes that wouldn't have made it to TV, strictly because of time. And when you have to cut for time, you either cut the bad jokes or the non-plot-essential scenes, so the shows flow better.

It's still good though. Not season 2 or 3 good, but still good.

Just watched it. Pretty good. Not their best but the cast has really been nuetered since their peak and it took a while for the new characters from last season to start clicking so I imagine it'll be the same for this one

They have really made me hate Chang but I'm okay with him so far because he is where he is supposed to be: the background. Once he gets real story time, it gets terrible fast. But I don't mind him just making one hit background jokes

Yurintrouble is gonna kill me but I'm super meh on the new chick. They were super meta about how boring she is. I'm not sure what she really brings to the show besides a plot. Felt like she was just there...jokes fell flat for me. Still could get better tho


And I saw Shirley's weight loss on that new Matthew Perry show (that show actually had a pretty nice meta shot at Community, only good joke they've had so far). Very nice for her.


Really miss Troy. Troy and Abeds chemistry is what really made the show. I don't think they can make a really good movie without Troy coming back. There's just a big hole in the show from his absence.


Also think there was a little too much dean in that second episode. He was starting to give me a headache

What you don't like about the character has to do with the writers, not the actress. One of the reasons I was excited she joined the cast is because I was aware her comic timing is pretty much impeccable from when she was on Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

Hopefully they give her a little more nuance as things progress.

Anytime there's a chalkboard or a whiteboard or a sign... Pause and read it. The drink menu in ladders, the pie chart in this one...

I've noticed that too. I watched every episode on hulu and would go back and pause it to see what the white board would say
