Practice makes perfect. The NIT has Tech on speed dial.

LA Tech will get to head to College Station if they successfully knock off Central Michigan.

Iona got fricked and has to hit the road again this season. They should've been hosting this year.
Not as bad as Yale..they didnt even get in. They were .5 sec from not even having to play in the playoff game to win the conf. And then lost with 7 seconds to play in the playoff.

I feel like Yale got invited and declined.

Not that I really care, but how do higher seeds get to host games? Is it because the other team didn't have availability of their facilities?

You have to put in a bid to host an NIT. For whatever reason, some teams don't. Women hosting an NCAA, thought you were in the big dance and something happens, too lazy to bid, etc.
McNeese had this happen to them. A much better Boston College team had to travel to Lake Charles because they never submitted a bid to host an NIT game.

in Illinois' case it was because their arena is undergoing renovations making them have to play a home game at Bama

I liked it when the NIT had no bracket and just threw together games. It made it very interesting.

I had been hoping for La Tech at UT-Austin.
Good enough though.

on the contrary, I saw a story last night with the coach whining and saying
"ITS NOT FAIR" two or three times.
AS IF, with the money involved in college sports - life is EVER fair.
Dude is delusional, but I guess he has found his level.
Yale was finalist in the CBI last year. Rough boys, beat UConn fair and square on the road early this season.

Temple over Vandy in Championship game is my guess.

Yale should be in, would much rather see them in then trash like Bama(who doesn't even have a coach) or ASU.
