We were a Nadal win away from the Big 4 in the semis.

It's a really fun tournament to go to. I definitely recommend it.

These two guys announcing the game are pretty good. The brit is entertaining.

Federer looking great. The racket switch last year seems to have revitalized his career and elevated his game.

I anticipate a re-do of last year's final, but I'm hoping Fed pulls it out.

I had a great three days. All I wanted to see was Nadal, and I got the big four, incuding Federer and Murray twice, plus some decent practice sessions, women's, and doubles matches. That said, the two walkovers destroyed my two night sessions and I'm not sure I'll go to these 1000 series events anymore because of it. I'll try to get up some pictures tomorrow. I had the video ready to go last night because I thought there would be objects thrown and some salty language, but Serena came out for a non apology apology, which put everyone at bay.

We are planning to go next year. Any recommendations for places to stay in the area?

We stayed at La Quinta Resort. It was nice because it's only about ten minutes from the tennis center. So, you can get back and cleaned up after a day session for night sessions or whatever else you're doing. It's basically all villas. Some are a little old, but it's a decent retreat from the typical hotel.

Stayed at La Quinta Resort as well. Definitely a great place to stay. It used to be better before all the practice courts got set up at the tournament site because all of the players stayed there and practiced within a 5 minute walk of pretty much every villa at the resort. I'd still recommend it though.

Halep looks like she's about to get back in this thing. Pretty terrible game from Jankovic.
Eta: this is terrible tennis

Man, Fed is kinda blowing it in this tiebreak.

Djokovic has match point on his racket, then double faults twice in a row.
Federer serving for match now.
Got it!

Crazy that I got back home for the end. Looks like Federer ran out of gas.
