He hasnt. Not that he can't.
You still need to put help around him. Everyone benefits

quote:yeah no shite. hence why I would like to sign jennings, a proven vet who stays healthy.
Cooks hasn't done anything yet
Kinda hammers home the point of needing more WRs

Fair enough
Id just rather hedge than go all in on two 32 y/o WRs

53 catches in 10 games as a rookie and his ypc soared up right before he got hurt. I think he has proven more than capable. Anyone who thinks Cooks isn't legit didn't watch the games.

Proven more than capable of what? He didn't prove anything last season man. Catches don't mean much if you're not doing anything with him
53 catches
3 TDs
4 of 20+ yards
2 of 40+ yards
Less than half of his catches went for first downs
Those are just the facts. He didn't display the big play potential in year 1. Doesn't mean he can't, just calling a spade a spade based on his rookie performance.
He's going to need another legit threat in the passing game to alleviate some of the pressure. Marques Colston and Greg Jennings pose little threat to defenses in terms of drawing extra converage

We used Stills as the deep threat, and Colston had 17 catches for 20+ yards. Early on we primarily used Cooks to take on the Sproles role, which was a mistake. Right before he went down we started letting him loose.
He showed he has the capability. If you refuse to see it I can't convince you otherwise.

Of course he has the ability. Hes a hard worker playing with a HOF QB. But he did not prove anything last year. He was a disappointment. Sorry. A lot of people who aren't biased would agree.
Doesn't mean he can't be good. A 10 game sample as a 20 year old rookie isn't going to define his career.
