Won his second straight 3A title game MVP. One of the most underrated players by everyone who covers basketball in the state. Mays gets all the hype, but Sims is vastly under appreciated.

I think so...

But isn't Sims a very undersized PF? Does he have the ability to play guard?

yes it is Big Daddy's son. Yea is a bit undersized, but has dominated his age group every year and is the best post player in LA. Period.

His Dad was built like a truck but had the softest touch. Cannot even remember him at 6'8 ever dunking.
Is his kid built the same?

He's skinny. Hell be a good pickup for Nicholls or McNeese.

He is bigger than that. He'll end up at LSU but he is considered a mid-major

Johnny Jones and Deridder connection with Wayne will likely land him at LSU

Does he have perimeter skills and an outside shot, or is he strictly an inside guy? Is he a good leaper/athlete?

Sims does have a mid-range game out to the 3-point line.

That U-High team is chock full of college talent

Skylar Mays
Wayde Sims
Maxwell Starwood
Jalen Johnson

All going to play college ball somewhere. Imo, the only one LSU will pursue hard is Mays. Rest are smaller school bound

Maxwell signed with Tulane. Poor Tulane gonna be let down big time.

DJ White is better than Maxwell and maybe Jalen.
