Is the Blockbuster Now site basically out of business?

I used to occasionally watch movies there. I hadn't checked in recently because I was too busy but I had some free time and felt like watching a couple of movies. Seems like every movie I call up is "currently unavailable".

Annoying because I don't have enough free time for a Netflix membership to be worthwhile, and Blockbuster Now allowed me to pay on a per-movie basis.

Don't know about blockbuster, but plenty of other per movie options.. iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Thanks, I'll look into those. Main thing is not wanting a monthly membership fee for something I don't get a chance to use much.

Dude, if you watched only 2 movies per month, a Netflix membership would pay for itself.

Would actually take 3 compared to BB Now (they are/were $2.99 a movie). Plus I usually don't even watch 2. I work about 60 hours a week, and I go to soccer tournaments / volunteer at the parish office on weekends.

Well, considering your BB never appears to have any movies, is it really worth saving $2?

Better yet, invest in a Roku and just rent whatever movies you want using Amazon Instant Watch.

Vudu has better quality than any other streaming service I know of (though at $2.99 with BB, you were probably watching in SD). You should try that.

Also, You Can buy or rent digital movies. You Can convert blurays you own to digital access on vudu for $2 a movie at Walmart (or DVDs for $1 in SD). Half the price if you convert using a bluray drive with your personal computer
