One source says he sures up one side...
Another says he can't cover, draws too many pass interference, and will be a liability...

Guess he's an upgrade regardless

Concerns, coments, criticisms?

He did miss like 4 games last season and still was the 2nd most penalized DB. So that's a concern.

But wth a CB like him, you gotta take the bad with th good. He's great in run support, big and physical at the line and can overpower WRs. And I love his attitude and physical nature that he plays with. It's something we've missed. And we match up so much better with the WRs in our division now.

He's most definitely an upgrade.

I'd rather take a good corner who gets flagged for an aggressive play rather than one who is completely lost and burnt toast.

I'll take the total package. He's not perfect, but he's pretty damn good. Plus, we didn't have to break the bank for him.

I agree, we were all pumped after we saw Vacarro's aggressiveness his rookie season because we felt like the team had been missing that meanness science the bounty scandal. I'm glad we have an angry dude coming in.

bingo. as long as he doesnt pull a corey white type DPI in a playoff game giving a team a free 50 yard play, first and goal like corey did against eagles two years ago.

>700 snaps played
2 TDs allowed

They allow less yards and points when he's playing, that is a big deal even with penalties.

He'll get burned but he's also a thug who's not afraid of bigger WRs. It's as much about attitude as production I think. He's noted as a good locker room guy who puts up with no bullshite

I'm more worried about him getting suspended for some bullshite.

Why is he a thug?

The dude is ruthless, simple as that. And I love it.

There was talk of changing PI toa 15 yard penalty instead of a spot foul.

I know it would be way too hard to implement but they should have two kinds of pass interference: blantant and incidental. Basically all the stuff that looks close is incidental. Blatant is spot foul and incidental is 15 yards.

I like the move to 15 yards for all of them though. Much better than everything being spot fouls. Only issue is guys can abuse this more when they are obviously beat by just tackling the guy (thus my reason for two types).

Either way he's an upgrade from Corey White so I'll take him.

sorry KG5989, accidentally gave you a down vote instead of an up vote.

Whether you like Browner or not, he is definitely an upgrade over what we had. I think this is a great match for us as we already have Lewis to cover the speedy guys and now have Browner to matchup with the bigger more physical receivers.

He will bring some swag to this team and he also has a top notch safety tandem to help with coverage. I personally love this move.

Compared to what other FA CB's got we did not over pay.
He is better than all but 1 of our CB's.
Win win I think.
