is this place any good? Yelp reviews are solid and ole Tom Fitz has been pimping it lately. Got some restaurant.com coupons to burn and this place is one of them

It's solid. Used to work in the galleria and would eat there. I give that guy credit, he makes good comfort food in a smooth operation with limited means there. My biggest compliant is too much rice in the gumbo

It's OK. Wife and I went there because we had a coupon, but I'm not in a rush to go back. I did hear that he had a good jambalaya though.

Just went here for the first time and I have to say I was very impressed. I had the 1/2 shrimp poboy and their mumbo gumbo which includes shrimp, chicken, sausage, crawfish & crabmeat. Definitely going to be in the regular rotation for me.
