Both Landry and Cooks are slot receivers. I highly doubt that this is a Stills/Landry swap.

If we gave him away for a 5th rounder or worse, I don't get it at all. He's super productive and cheap.

Based on the fact that we are targeting backs like Spiller, Payton may have decided that Cooks will be more of a true WR, taking more snaps from Stills. Other than that, it has to be a personal issue with Stills cuz I can't figure it out.

Could be attitude or could be that he doesn't give you much in the WR blocking department and was really only utilized as a deep threat receiver. Who knows
