If DeMarco signs with Philly. No brainer right?

Todd Gurley would be the better option over Gordon.

AP is well AP

I don't think he's signed.

I can understand the skepticism, but he's a completely different breed of a back than any of his predecessors. There are far too many examples of runs this year that were not a product of his offensive line.

I loved watching Gordon run this year. He has it.

Give me Todd (and yes, this may have everything to do with my UGA bias but I want to root for him every week in the pros).

This is dumb. Failure of previous Wisconsin RB has nothing to do with how well Melvin Gordon will be.

And anyway, Ron Dayne was the only "recent" bust RB from Wisconsin. (10+ years ago)

Ball was a third round pick I think. Calhoun, I forget where he was picked/what his expectations were. I can't remember another RB who was hyped to be really good/ went really high and busted.

Gordon is a different breed. His size, agility, vision, speed are all really good. He would feast in Dallas

I certainly don't want to use our first round pick on Gordon because our defense needs help, but damn that kid is good. if he's there in the 2nd round I want him bad

I think it's obvious that Peterson is trying to push his way out of Minnesota and has his sights on Dallas. John Clayton said yesterday that Minnesota's best possible return for AD would be a 4th round pick.

We all know how bad Jerry Jones wants Peterson. I think he would jump all over that deal.

If for whatever reason Peterson doesn't wind up in Dallas, I would be in favor of grabbing a back in the first 2-3 rounds of the draft and signing a complimentary RB...maybe CJ Spiller.

There are a bunch of good backs in the 3rd-ish round, at least one of which will be a 1st team guy.

B1G was stacked with RBs this year.

I honestly think Gordon and Gurley will be awesome pros. If I was Dallas I would be ok with getting either.

There is no shortage of RBs this year, and that is why I think Gordon may drop a little further than some would expect.

ETA: I am a bit concerned about Gordon's weight right now. His playing weight last season was around 207. I don't think anyone expected him to break the clocks at the combine, but I do think his 215 combine weight may have slowed him down a bit during his 40.

I will say, though, Gordon is absolutely fricking shredded.
