I'm not sure if I've seen this topic covered. Why would we need 8 QB's taking up coaching time? I can see 6 maybe...in the spring, but 8 seems like a bit much. I understand all but 3 are walk ons. Enlighten me.

Extra arms are important in practice.

We have 8 capable quarterbacks that certainly have the want to play for LSU

Walk on qbs don't take up coaches time.

well then if they are not worth coaching then why are they out there. I get needing to have some extra arms, but 8.

Why on earth would this bother you? Only three of them are on scholarship

Les Miles has lost control of the number of quarterbacks.

I'd put 10, heck 12 on there if it meant we had just 1 who could play, mid-pack in the SEC.

Hopefully you have 5 high character, positive influences around. It's the same as having extra team managers, they aren't going to see the field.

I can dig that perspective. I get they won't see the field. Just seemed to me that it would be more distractions in skill position drills.

We could have less but LSU likes to honor its scholarships.

lol the number of walk on players don't take up any significant extra individual coaching time. The three scholarship qbs get more devotion. There's nothing wrong with depth I'm numbers.
