Pretty disappointed in our effort of course.

Luckily I talked to this guy from Madrid the other day for a really long time. He was pretty cool, a big Sergio Ramos fan. I'm so glad we snuck by Schalke yesterday and really think it will be a wake up call. We are def gonna go back to back and win #11 this year!

Hala Madrid!

Effort wasn't an issue, you just got beat by a better team.

I know that's hard for you to accept, but Paris proved this round that they are a European heavyweight.

I was pulling for PSG. They played their asses off. I actually yelled at the TV when zlatan got carded. That doesn't change the fact that you're a fake, annoying, little bitch who is so desperate for attention that you are reduced to trying too hard with your flavor of the month multi sport support and Wikipedia infused sports "knowledge."

I thought Chelsea would go through, but that had a lot to do witth PSG underachieving this season, for the first half, and the injuries sustained right before... But, Chelsea aren't the team they were in the first half of the season either...

Yeah, I could see that. Every time I watch PSG in Ligue 1 they usually look pretty impressive just too often have some inexplicable lapse (something like the weird Silva handball today) that results in a draw.

I guess that's probably a better reason to think they'd blow the CL match as well (which they almost did).

I simply thought they had/have a little bit more quality than Chelsea, particularly in midfield where CL games are won. I was pretty impressed by how they played against Barcelona even though they split the actual results.

everyone who knew what they were talking about thought this. That excluded at least 75% of this board.

I mean, it's easy to do that no matter the outcome of any match.

You're not funny. Your posts read like someone who doesn't know much about sports. The memes you posted are lame. Randy made fun of you like 3 times and you didn't even notice because you were too busy deciding which 7 emoticons you were going to put in your next reply. Jesus Christ, you post like a 15 year old girl.

Anyone with half a brain on here knows that PSG can beat anyone. Chelsea were the pre-match favorite because they were at home and had an away goal in their pockets. The match result was really only considered such a huge upset because of how people assumed the red card would affect the game. Not because of some consensus presumption amongst the SB that there's a huge disparity in talent between the two clubs. As a matter of fact, I think Paris actually has more talent than Chelsea, especially in a few key positions.

ETA Just for context - Before reading this thread, I had no idea who you were or what club supported or what club you used to support or anything. I just felt like you needed to know how much this thread bummed me out.

The match at home against Caen immediately came to mind. Their matches against Barca and Chelsea show they can challenge anyone however.

I feel like this has been a problem with this club ever since I started following them though. They had enough talent to win more than one league title in the 90s. The teams with Ronaldinho would look sublime against Marseille and in the domestic cups, but underwhelm in the league. The 07/08 team should never have been in a relegation scrap, but they were and still won the League Cup.

PSG has been a habitual WTF club. I believe they might have enough mettle to win the Champions League this year. I also believe they are listless enough to finish 3rd in Ligue 1.
