This board has consistently minimized the ability of Paris, especially when playing the favored english clubs, but when it came down to it Paris just had more heart than west london did and they proved it over both legs. Not even the most bullshite red card in history could stop them from going into stamford bridge and doing the unthinkable.

west london have been vanquished, and now Paris moves on to challenge the true European heavyweights

You have a lot of passion for someone who chose their team half way through the season when your team was 10 or so points up in the table

ETA: That said, you've done an outstanding job of acting like the bad stereotype many on this board believe Chelsea fans to be.

Paris played for the crest, unlike their opponent

Wish I could say otherwise, but you're right.

Team that wanted it more won.

How is this even a surprise? Last year, PSG took the first match 3-1 at home, and Zlatan didn't play in the return leg. Chelsea squeezed by on aggregate. I actually believed Paris would get the result, but that may just be my anti-Chelsea lean. All I know is that I'd have been disgusted if that awful red would have lead to PSG being sent home, especially with Costa acting the way he was without consequence.

Neither did Hazard.

Like PSG this year?

It was a bad call but when you play the way they did in the first leg they probably didn't do themselves any favors in the eyes of the officials.

Costa is a bitch for sure but Verratti and Luiz were right there with him.

My point was that this wasn't as shocking as the OP made it out to be. I just don't understand why people are acting like PSG was some pub league squad. Yeah, they went down to 10 men, but it's not like that was what was predicted to happen. Mind you, I'm happy with the result, but it isn't mindblowing.

It wasn't shocking at all. I called for this in another thread several days ago. Paris were the better team in the first leg by a mile.

The point of my OP was to give a big to the england-centric posters who make up a majority of this board, most of whom let their geographical bias influence their opinion of this game.

Yeah, I think an even number of people that watch not-England football thought PSG would go through before the tie began and still felt that way after they outplayed Chelsea in the first leg.

When they went down to 10 men I doubt many still though that though.

If an EPL club had bought the same lineup PSG has, criticism would be centered on why they're not beating Bayern, Real or Barca more than how a slightly inferior Chelsea team could lose to them.

I thought Chelsea would go through, but that had a lot to do witth PSG underachieving this season, for the first half, and the injuries sustained right before... But, Chelsea aren't the team they were in the first half of the season either...

I am glad that I was wrong..

Yea man total arse beating.

PSG were better than Chelsea that's true, you're still a multi club wanker douche.

Easy to talk shite when you have multiple clubs out there doing your bidding.

When Paris are ripe for it they can beat anyone, anywhere as they just proved.

I guarantee I've spent more time in Paris than you've spent in London

I know you're dealing with losing to that little club though so I'll leave you alone.
