Smoking Ribs Orientation?

Do you do anything different when smoking them in a stand on their sides versus placing them flat?
Usually smoke 2 racks on Lg BGE (modified 3-2-1 method) and have pretty good success. Thinking about trying to do four racks at one time on their sides.

I twist them into a cylinder, put a skewer through them and smoke them on their side. Seems to work well for 3 or 4 racks of ribs on the WSM
