Does Ryan Anderson still have a place on this team after the success we have had without him? Perhaps, the Pelicans might be better off without using him to stretch the floor.
Besides the occasional shooting slumps, Ryan Anderson has played well. However, I wouldn't really mind if we traded him just based off of what he brings on the court. The concern is losing the leadership he brings and everyone seems to feel a lot of sympathy for what he has been through in his time with New Orleans. Also, I have heard that he is AD's closest friend on the team.
Assuming we don't trade him, should we resign him? If so, how much would he get? Would trading him in the off season benefit the franchise the most?

Team has gone on a run since he is not on the floor going 1-7 and giving up 20 points

If he were to regain his shot, he's still a unique and very valuable asset to us. I would rather keep him and Monty do a better job with his lineups when he's healthy. Ajinca is more than capable. Ryno doesn't HAVE to be used for the entire 4th when he's having a bad night. If hes on fire, ride him. If not, play your match ups. Monty is good when his options are limited.

A big man rotation of AD, Asik, Ryno, DC, and Ajinca is solid.

Besides, his value is an all time low right now. What do you realistically target? Not saying the rosters perfect but what are you trying to fill?

You're not getting a Batum for him..

I don't think Monty would ever be able to help himself when it comes to Anderson.

Alright, so say we want to keep him, what is the value of his next contract?

Hopefully Ryno balls out after returning from injury like EG has.

Take a paycut and id love to keep him. But right now Babbitt does everything Ryno is supposed to do. My problem is monty clearly forcing him minutes on nights you can tell hes off. Babbitt has earned himself more minutes with his play this year.

I wanna trade Anderson asap, but his value is so low right now its better to wait until maybe near the trade deadline next year

But how much of a pay cut, I can't see him take less than 4 or 5 million

Send him home to Sacramento in a trade for Boogie. Win-win

I know that's a joke, but I'm not sure we would even want boogie, he might destroy the locker room

Seriously try and trade him don't care if we can't get exact value for him. He doesn't fit Alexis has emerged and Ryan D has been horrible. He'll walk any way after next year.

Yeah, I want to trade him too. However, will Davis be pissed off by the move and feel betrayed by management.

That is something a 1st placr team like Golden State would worry about, not a team clawing for the 8th seed. Davis and Cousins is a championship front line. Two Kentucky boys. Not happening or anything, js.

I seriously doubt it, not if it makes the team better.

Get a starting SF (if possible) and AD would be all in

It's easy to say "starting SF", but what are some specific SF that could be a target in a trade. One idea would be to trade anderson for wilson Chandler (if Chandler accepts his player option of next year). Or we could just trade ryan Anderson to clear up the cap space for wilson chandler if he declines his player option. If we sign Chandler first, we can use bird rights to sign Asik and hopefully Ajinca (Do we have his bird rights? My initial thought is no, but I could be wrong). If we are able to get chandler, does that make Tyreke expendable?

lol. That would be the best front court of all time, including David Robinson and Tim Duncan. Not sure you would even want him
