Surprised I haven't seen anything on here about it. Microsoft Store is selling the HP Stream 7 for $79.99. The specs are kinda meh you almost can't beat this price. I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

$79.99 and you get a $25 MS store gift card and MS office 365 which normally costs $65. Hell of a deal.

It's full Windows 8.1 (32-bit). Pretty great deal. Seems like it would benefit greatly from another gig of RAM though (ignoring the ridiculously low price on it already, of course).

yea, but people report that it runs pretty good as long so you're not doing anything too intensive on it

Keyboard is $79 at MS Store. May put $25 toward that. Anyone have that one? LINK

Geez. Does the thing actually run?

Seems like a steal if all you want is to run some basic windows programs and browse the net with email.

Just wondering if the thing is responsive or if it takes forever for things to pop open.

I've got one, and it is fine but not great. Better than a phone, worse than a 10" tablet like an iPad. It does run full Windows 8.1 which is nice, but if you are wanting to do much in the way of multi-tasking this isn't for you. I agree that it would be better if it had another gig of ram; I don't think you could run games with very high specs (even angry birds transformers made this thing hiccup if I had any other apps open). But I use it mainly to have Chrome and as an e-reader, and for that it is fine (provided you don't have 20 tabs open at once).

I paid $90 for it I think and I probably wouldn't again, but that's because a few weeks after I got it my work gave me an iPad w/a keyboard, and it's a lot easier to play around on the internet with that.

I have one. Bought it on sale for $80 back in January. Worked fine for what I was using it for until I bought my Note 4. Now I just have a bunch of movies loaded on a 64gb micro SD and my kids watch it in the car. I would not buy another one. When I bought it, I used a $100 gift card from work so I figured I wasn't losing anything if it b was turned out to be useless. It uses the same operating system as the Surface Pro 3 I just bought for my wife. Now the SF3 is pretty damn nice.
