Painful but necessary.

If we are going to contend for a Championships

This is how the Patriots do it.

I am looking forward to more moves. So much for being crap till Brees leaves.

Kind of agree here. Certainly feels like it.

The Patriots hoard draft picks and aren't grossly over the cap every year.

You could say it was "more or less" a patriots move..

Can't wait till Seattle starts shopping Graham when they find out he can't run block for Beast Mode.

People are fapping for the Seahawks but I remember them doing the same thing when they got Harvin too.

Could have sworn we got a 1st rounder out of this.

Also, this is talking about THIS move. Saints being over the cap is, in part, an illusion due to our use of roster bonuses in place of signing bonuses.

Not to mention that this move helps that down the road too...

Wait till next season when people are starting 256 threads every Sunday about how well Jimmy is playing in some other game that's on against ours.

He greatly improved on that last season actually.

No doubt BUT
I won't forget how soft he has played the last 2 years.

(Still great player no doubt but i doubt he becomes a tough player)

Feel like the Pats would have done better than 31st overall, but I see your point

Funny as just a couple of days ago the pats had the second cap deficit behind us.

But let's not let facts get in the way. They always cut everyone and never sign big money deals.

All of that money was essentially Revis's option which they declined.

Far be it from me to get in the way of the facts though.

For all I know this is a great trade, but I have a lot of questions and I'm concerned.

The Patroits make moves BEFORE having to pay out big contracts, not AFTER.

It's the beginning of this team clearing assets for new ownership. They will be in LA in 2017

Didn't they just move Makins last year?

Also have to remember the Hernendez thing
