They won't pocket that, most of it will go to taxes.

The project is less than 5 years old. How long did it take Chelsea, a decade?

We were regulars in the semi finals and finals of the CL by year 5. Hell we made a semi the year before Roman took over.

You will bust a load if you make it out of the Round of 16 this year.

The PSG model looks to emulate Bayern and Real

The Real model of spending more money than everyone or the Bayern model of being a pseudo national team?

The Real model is the same as City, Chelsea, PSG etc... This is not really possible in France because the true greats want to compete against the best and don't want to go to a shite league and fade into obscurity except for maybe a few CL matches every year and the Euros/WC every other year.

The Bayern model is not possible in France because 3/4 of the players worth a damn in France are barely even French and could care less about staying there.

Made the round of 8 the last two years, just got a tough draw this year. If we had gotten Arsenal or something we'd be in the last 8 again.

Well PSG haven't struggled to get great players to come there so I'm going to go ahead and say that you don't know what you're talking about. The league isn't great but Parisian life for a rich footballer is.

Your best post yet.

They get stars yes but you compared them to Real Madrid and PSG have yet to make a signing for a Ronaldo, Bale, James etc... i.e. the top guy in a given window that everyone in the world wants and would pay 75-80+m for.

I also can't think of a player they have poached from a top club that said club really wanted to keep. To be fair Real, Barca, and Bayern (among Germans) are the only clubs who really do this but again, you were the one who made that comparison.

Like I said, it's year 3. You don't get to that level overnight. FFP also isn't helping but give it time.

We'll see I just don't see it happening unless France becomes more competitive as a league.

At least if it doesn't work out you have other options.

The only part I was totally serious about is PSG being a second rate wannabe club.

The same was true of Chelsea until I guess a couple of years ago. You could argue it's still true.

So much for playing for the crest. Chelsea looked like they were down on men for most of the match.
