Still hearing there's a chance #Saints could move on from G Jahri Evans, among possible others. But no confirmation on that.

No we aren't done but since we are under the cap we'll make them as we need to.

We should be about $5.4m under assuming Colston saved $3m.

If we are it will be a long season. Major holes at CB and LB. Question marks abound on the both lines. We can't go into the draft with so many needs. You miss on steals and reach too often in that scenario. I suspect we are allowing the high dollar FA's sort themselves out and are waiting on the second and third tier guys to be willing to sign at a bargain. Today was about getting under the cap. Plenty of time to shore up some needs between now and the draft.

We're going to have anywhere between $10-20 in cap space. Evans is likely gone, as is Hawthonre and Bush. We can still cut White and/or Watson if needed and we can always do something with Grubbs.

And if we really, really needed to we could restructure Brees for a few more dollars but they aren't looking to do that now.

We also can't sign anyone for two more hours and I'm sure we want to avoid trouble with the league.

Or actually waiting for FA to start in a few hours since you are technically not allowed to make an official offer to anyone.

Both Guards will have something involving their contract whether that may be restructure or straight cut. Also, it doesn't have to be today

Will cut as needed now that we are under the cap.

I really hope they can work a deal with Evans. I would like to keep him around at the right price.

As much as I would like Collins and Scherff in the draft. I still think Evans and Grubbs can be good players. They need a better anchor in the middle. We had one of the worst grades for center last year in the entire league.

I'd like to add a solid center as well as a corner in free agency. Then add Front seven depth in the draft.
