2k My Player end of career

Does anyone know how my players skills decline over time? Mine is in his 10th season and I have him as maxed out as possible. I have already hit the hall of fame milestones but I want to let the career play out. Any idea how long or how well he can go?
Is he forced into retirement or can he play forever?

No pretty much just key games, I've played like 250 or so games over my 10 seasons. Some pretty funny stuff happens though, Rose and Westbrook team up with Paul George, somehow love stays in Minnesota as a backup to Derrick Williams, dieon waiters is a top 5 player, Washington and la trade Paul for wall in a trade that would never happen
