What makes the Land Cruiser so special that it would be priced like a luxury brand? I get that it is iconic, but the latest design is pretty ugly.

I don't recall ever riding in one. For anyone that has, what is the appeal?

They are indestructible. If price is a bother, get a 2008-2010 for 45k and get basically the same vehicle as new. I'm in the market myself.

Don't think they're ugly but I'm a lc fanatic.

That's one of my favorite vehicles in years past. Haven't checked out the newest model. If I was on OT baller or better yet owned the OT, I'd drive one.

I'd get it over the Range fwiw.

They have always been really pricey. And, fwiw, I hear you can take those mofos anywhere in the world and they will just beast it up. African continent, Russia, the Yukon, you name it.

Love my Cruiser. It's a beast.

Mine is a little bit older body style. I dont like the new ones either.

I have a friend that has a newer one, maybe a 13. It's a nice vehicle and I'm guessing it is more truck based than a Sequoia so maybe the off road capabilities are better? An expensive vehicle for someone who kinda wants to fly under the radar and not get the big Lexus off which this is based, IMO.

It's a "if ya know, ya know" to me kind of vehicle. Ya know?

I think the following behind the Land Cruiser is it's old school reliability.I've ridden it 3 different Cruisers and even the 20 year old ones still ride great. Range Rovers look better, are faster.. but they're not reliable.

If I remember correctly the Lexus version is only ~2k more expensive.

ETA: I may be thinking of the Sequioa equivalent.

This.

They last forever, very nice on inside, have tons of room, very versatile as family vehicle or towing vehicle, etc.

Supply and demand, Chicken. I've actually ridden in the Lexus version (Lexus LX) - but that was about 10 years ago.

It was the nicest vehicle I've ever ridden in. I don't know if it's worth as much as they're charging. They are hugely popular combat vehicles in the third world, along with Hilux pickups and 4Runners.

Solid vehicle. They last forever. One of the highest resell values I have ever seen. My sister just plopped down 75k for an Escalade and I tried to convince her to buy a Landcruiser. Her car will be worth 20k in 3 years.
