Making a trip to Houston in April. Want to tour a few breweries. What are some breweries to visit? I plan on visiting the following

Karbach
St. Arnold
Buffalo Bayou

If you stay in Houston, that's a good list.

If you get out of Houston, you have No Label in Katy and Lone Pint in Magnolia, and Southern Star in Conroe.

I'd hit one, maybe two, then go to Petrol Station or somewhere similar to try other local stuff

Those are pretty standard.

I'd throw in 8th Wonder as well. They just built a new tap room and it's open at night on the weekends...which is nice

ETA: Just a warning, St. Arnold gets stupid packed on Saturdays and usually has a line to get in.

This. Karbach and Buffalo Bayou are always good times. I haven't been to 8th Wonder yet but I'm sure it's good as well.

8th wonder is more of a bar. They have a tap room, it's a cool place to go. Right next to BBVA stadium

go check out 8th wonder. It's a great spot just outside of downtown and their Rocket fuel Vietnamese coffee porter is really, really good.

Do they bottle rocket fuel?

I have yet to see any 8th Wonder beers on the shelves. I've only had it on tap at WF and at the brewery.

I'll agree to Rocket Fuel being a pretty kick-arse beer.

I haven't seen any of their stuff bottled yet. I recommend hitting buffalo bayou and karbach. both fun tours. St ARnold is going to be more packed and its hit and miss on what they have available sometime.

I still want to go up to Lone Pint one day but I have to save money for airline tickets.

If you are in on a weekday, I recommend Lunch @ St. Arnolds. Much less crowded + all you can drink (at least it was when I went a few years back, was able to get everything they had on tap).

Looks like you can make a reservation now:

So out of St. Arnold, Karbach, and Buffalo Bayou, which 1 would you recommend. We have about 10-12 people going.
