5 or 10 years when Nolan restarts Dark Knight? What's your guess?

DKR starting now on TNT (DK) just finished so I am curious what you all think. The dude can really tell a comic hero story.

Do you think he does another DK?

Dude...have you heard of the DC Cinematic Universe? They are leaving the Nolan Batman behind and taking the character in a new direction, starting with next year's Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Nolan didn't even want to do a third batman. I sincerely doubt he does a fourth unless there's some insane film he wants Warner bros to finance that he couldn't get otherwise.

That's debatable.

He can certainly tell a story based on a character from a comic book though.

EPs do damn near nothing as it relates to the actual film.

Often its nothing more than a tag to stroke ego.

Depends on the EP and the film. Given the involvement of Goyer and Snyder, I would hope Nolan has some pull on this movie.

Nolanites have a convenient out in this. If it's bad....not Nolan's fault. If it's great... Nolan is the greatest film visionary of all time.

No. Say what you will about TDKR, but it was a definitive end. Nolan will never return to the franchise, nor does he need to.

I thought he did, but Ledger's Joker was to be the main villain. When Ledger died he decided to make Bane the emphasis.

Apparently he wasn't very enthusiastic about doing the third after Ledger passed, and Warner struck the same deal as they previously did for Dark Knight. Come back and do one for us, and we'll do one for you. Initially it was Inception, and then it was Interstellar.

Yeah, he was set on Ledger and the Joker. I'm pretty sure he had a lot if it laid out too. When he died, it changed the trilogy.

I believe it did as well.

He is one of seven EPs attached to the film according to IMDB.

Even if this film turns out to be the greatest comic book movie ever made, I would give most of the creative credit to Snyder, Goyer and Terrio. Why? Because Nolan isn't credited as a director or a writer on this picture.

I would give credit to sweet baby Jesus because it will be a miracle if these movies are anything other than an abortion with Snyder at the helm. Seriously. The man is terrible. Nolan can't and won't save these movies.

And he's never going back to Batman unless Warner Bros gives him a give and take deal he simply can't turn down.
