yay!!! the saints resigned mark ingram!! here's my shocked face

Doesn't solve the black hole of shite that is the second cornerback spot, center, or linebacker.

I feel like Cato saying Carthage must be destroyed over and over again.

PASS BLOCKING OLINE

that's our number 1 concern. We need a true solid center closely followed by a guard unless our two fatasses turn themselves around. They have more than enough talent, I've heard injuries, etc... was the cause of last year. We'll see.

Then pass rush / corner bpa

If we wouldn't have signed Ingram, you could have added running back to that list. If we sign a center, are you going to say that it doesn't solve the cornerback spot? Not sure where you are going with this.

ingram can run for 2000 yards next year, if you don't have a decent second corner it doesn't matter

There's still going to be plenty of moves to be made. People acting like 4 mil a year (when who knows if it's really even that much) is going to break the bank need to chill.

We resigned JG to 10 mil and Byrd to a new 10 mil contract both last year when we though we had no space. I still see us grabbing vet o-line and CB help.

We are drafting Trae Waynes.

Relax. These guys know what they're doing. They brought us a Super Bowl. They will have a plan in place

What does one have to do with the other? Why are you talking about Ingram and cornerbacks. FA hasn't even really started yet.

Ingram can run for 2000 yards and we have the two best corners in the game. If Brees pressured every play it won't matter.

Round and round we go jack.

We're not drafting a guy to start. If he happens to be BPA and he can come in and be part of the rotation then sure, but this team needs another proven guy.

Why does signing a RB which we didn't have stop these other much needed moves? Oh and there is a draft coming.

I'm not sure what the Ingram signing has to do with a corner. Do you want us to not have a running back and no #2 corner? Maybe you should calm down and be patient because free agency hasn't even started yet

Glad I'm not the only one confused by this thread.

If Ingram runs for 2k yards we would be completely controlling games and quite often playing with a lead... Or he would be just be playing elite football. Either way his new contract would be an absolute drop in the bucket for that production.

So your statement doesn't make a ton of sense as a second corner would not be the be all/end all in your given scenario.

everyone is patting themselves on the back like this is some huge coup. even if they don't resign ingram there is still khiry on the roster. and before someone says he can't stay healthy, you could say the same shite about ingram. this is a lateral move that does nothing to improve the team in the areas it needs the help.

Take a deep breath man

Loomis is one of the best GMs in the league. He has a plan. Free Agency hasn't even started. As long as we improve along the interior offensive line, get some better MLBs and get a veteran number 2 CB we will be fine.

Again, FA hasn't even started. So go grab a damn beer or a Xanax and chill the frick out

You do realize that we were allowed to resign Ingram before FA but are not allowed to sign other people's players until FA starts, right?

Patience. The moves are coming. We can't get any new players until Tuesday.

Well that's stupid. If we let Ingram walk we're down to Robinson, Cadet, and that no name PS squad guy they signed toward the end of last year. We need another HB regardless so why not bring back the guy that you've had in house and knows the system?
I still think we should nab a guy in the draft for more quality depth, but I really think Ingram will surprise people if he becomes the go to guy. Oh and we actually have a serviceable o-line in front of him.

Apparently consistency and pass blocking from your rb means nothing to some of you. Wanna know which rb was the most successful in pass protection last year? It wasn't pt or khiry.
