I switched my tune sooner than I remember. I thought it was really dumb when they introduced the idea. Using one made me understand that it would be the future of computing technology.

iphone is still their big money maker. iPads are slipping and will likely continue to lose market share. Which is ok. Still a big success. I don't think the watches will be match the iPad success.

The first gen watches are stupid, but that's kind of been AAPL's model. Roll out a barebones model of something that works well and then follow it up 18 months later with a model that has enhanced abilities and addresses all of the glaringly obvious things the first gen was missing. Fanboys will buy both and those skeptical at first will see the improvements and think everything is perfect and that now is the time to buy one.

Pretty brilliant, but I'm thinking it will eventually be a really hard faceplant when they don't execute it perfectly.

I was the joke of the board for saying Apple was about to blow up and enter an era of dominance that would blow everyone's mind. Oh how the geniuses of the MT shite on me over and over

Unless you have a link to another thread, the one posted earlier is far from being "shite on."

For instance, he said that Siri would destroy all other devices and they would never catch up.

Has not happened. And Google voice-driven apps and tech is still radically superior to Siri.

However, buying puts on AAPL after Jobs died and the stock barely moved was a very lucrative trade.

You made money off of put-buying when the stock didn't go down? Link?

Even the best hedge funds would be happy with that kind of success.

All of the best hedge funds own Apple. It's the most widely-held hedge fund stock.

You typically want to buy the outs BEFORE the price goes down.

Also, my comment about hedge funds was about success rate, not AAPL. not sure where you thought you were going with that.

Didn't you also say Bitcoins will rule the world?

The Iphone was the best invention. The IPad is a cool gadget to have but i don't use it near as much as the iPhone and it literally does the exact same shite. The Iwatch will sell because it's Apple. I feel worse about this than the IPad and I know the IPad does well. But having a watch that needs to be recharged every night, not waterproof, and is essentially a glorified Health watch....just not something I would buy. I don't see this outselling iPhones or iPads, not even close. Just MO.

Biggest thing is it has to be matched with a phone. And it's ugly. And its expensive as hell.

Not very bullish on this thing.

You said buying puts was lucrative, despite the stock barely moving. Does not compute.

I bought them when Apple was over 400 and sold them around 350. This was done in a couple of months. My annualized return on that trade was awesome. You're out of your league on the poli board, but you are way out of your league here. Tuck your tail and walk away.

Whoa the bigger dumbasses, the people not believing in Apple or the guy that did yet didn't make boohoo money.

Frankly, you should have put every dollar you had in Apple.

If you didn't, why not???????

In 1987 my father gave me 100 shares of Apple and 100 share of Exxon as a graduation gift. I have bought both stocks each year since with whatever I could afford some years more than others, stocks going up and going down.

I have a nice chunk of both now and continue to buy. I'm a fan of both and am typing this on my iPad with my iPhone in my lap, my wife talking on hers next to me and my daughter doing her homework on her MacBook at my feet.

I'm sure in a couple of months we will be checking the time and our heart rates on our new I watches. Haters gonna hate.

What does this even mean? The only hate is from the self loathing OP.

I haven't seen him post his gains. IF he didn't invest all he had in it, I don't know the point of this thread. Its like predicting rain in Louisiana, yea, there is a chance.
