Right now I'm on the fence of buying the game. Pull me one way or the other.

I really don't like the game at all. From what I read in the dragonball thread, I seem to be the only one who doesnt like it though.

Combat is very shallow. Graphics are subpar. Story is very meh to me. I would probably get more enjoyment out of playing an older DBZ game following the canon story.

If you are a huge DBZ fan and think you will enjoy the game after watching some reviews, then go for it. Its not worth $60 IMO unless you HAVE to play it right now.

I like the game, but I would agree it's not worth the full retail. Combat needs improvement. No complaint about graphics. Only so much you can do with animated characters, though it would be badass to have a realistic CGI rendering of DBZ -- something like this:

Not a game for anyone who isn't a fan of the series. As a fan, I give it a B-. I doubt I'm going to get much into online play (you know, when that starts working), as the single player grinding has nearly burned me out, but I did get some hours out of it, and I can see myself playing it again from time to time, like I do with other fighting games.

It ultimately depends on how big of a fan you are of the show. If you are a huge fan, then yes. If you are not a fan or just a casual DBZ fan then it's probably a rental at best.
