He probably agreed to a plea in exchange for his charges being reduced and received the max sentence of the reduced charge. If he went to trial and was convicted of a higher charge, he could have possibly faced an even worse sentence.

Yeah he was probably looking at 1st degree and the plea was to knock it down to 2nd degree and the 50 years instead of life

What's the point in life and 50 years when you are 32, idk. I'm not sure what the parole situation for something like that is

I wonder if he'd let me hold his ring for safekeeping while he is indisposed ?

Dumb decision by him, but this sentence seems way to excessive.

Ya if he tried to execute a guy point blank and simply missed I get the sentence.

At first I was thinking , damn some murderers have done less than 15

Concurrent means that he gets to serve all three sentences at the same time. With early release he'll be out in 20 years. If he didn't plead, the judge could have given him the three sentences consecutively, which means that when he's done with one of his 50 year sentences, he starts serving the next one and so on. With consecutive sentences he would never see the light of day.

He must have had a really bad attorney.

He got 1/3 of the max sentence, effectively.

Given him 100 more years.
