the best QB prospect in the Class of 2016, not just in Louisiana, but the nation. Bookmark it. After watching his film and comparing to others on our board, I can think of no reason for Les and Cam not to be on this kid like white on rice. A Louisiana kid who reminds me of Mettenberger with more athleticism and an innate pocket presence that can't be taught. Offer him! We need him in this class.

He is just as good as Patterson. But people keep on forgetting we already have a kid committed who is just as good as Patterson.

You want me to bookmark it with the other 37 threads on this topic or is this one thread good enough to cover the other 37 threads on the same topic?

Nah.

Eason is the best QB in this class. Big, strong arm, accurate, quick release. All he has to do is learn the system. This guy is about as ready as you will find a high school QB.

-I'd rank the others like this, but it's very subjective-

Second is Franks, and his potential is probably the second highest in this group.

Third is either Costello or Jawon Pass (who could be a Cam Newton or Vince Young level player).

Fifth is Malik Henry

Sixth is between Guarantano, Haskins, Patterson, and Kelley. I'd probably put Patterson or Haskins at 6th even though they have no real upside, they are both good enough to start day one in a spread offense.

**I'm projecting if they all pan out in college only.

Yes I agree with this. He is a top 10 overall QB no doubt, but I think you are getting a bit ahead of yourself.

So if Kelley is offered and commits, we'll have another 2nd string QB that should be starting controversy for the next few years if Franks struggles

I think, and I know absolutely jack shite, we probably will be taking two quaterback in this class. If that is the case he would be a viable option. Has LSU offered? Haskins has been offered but what is is interest? Would hate to lose a chance on a Louisiana kid and then he lights it up elsewhere.

Absolutely not.

He's good enough to get an offer from most FBS teams though.

If we don't offer him, it will be the biggest loss in our class. Mainly because we will probably have to play him if we don't get him.

Best in the class? Not a chance. I believe he is good but I wouldn't even put him #1 in Louisiana. Just cause Patterson isn't going to LSU doesn't take away that he isn't the best in LA but no way he is better than franks and especially not Eason.

I'm sure Coach O has some connections in that area and he will get the scoop on this kid. Listening to ESPN Baton Rouge this week, his name was brought up about being the second QB in LSU's class. Time will tell.

Will this kid commit if offered? A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush if we can get this kid commitment now they should offer. I know Cam is waiting on commits from Haskins or the kid from Indiana. Plus we will be pushing hard next season for Lowell. Harris, Franks, Kelly, and Lowell would be a great haul at the qb position for us.
