Can't get on the floor before Darcy Malone. What the hell happened?

He's been here one season... Tim Quarterman looked bad last season and look at him now

Lost 70 pounds in 4 months by dieting only. Lost a tremendous amount of strength in both his upper and lower body. Still could stand to lose 10-15 more pounds to get down to the 250-255 range but adding strength and improving foot speed/overall quickness is paramount.

Since JJ got Martin and Mickey he followed up on the front court recruiting by bringing in Odo, Epps, Malone, Robertson and Bridgewater. Houston, we have a problem!

TQ didn't look good last year but he didn't look nearly as bad as big Elbert. Elbert looked about like tuba did.

I really hope our staff didn't tell him to drop 50 pounds by just dieting. I would be concerned about a staff if they encouraged losing 50 without hardcore working out.

Craig Victor, 6-9 Power Forward, top 50 player coming out of high school, transferred to LSU from Arizona.

Everyone offered him on the basis of him having a really high ceiling, not that he was some incredible one-and-done. thad Matta has a great eye for post players, and if he feels like Robinson has potential, then Robinson will eventually be good...maybe very good.

he's just slow and awkward right now, which basically the antithesis of Jones' style. I'm actually more surprised we haven't seen more Epps

TQ at least saw the court. Elbert can't even do that.

He was a legit 350 in high school. He's lost almost 100 pounds in less then a year. That is a massive change.

Aaron has been hurt. He tore his ACL last year and it's nagged him throughout the season. He also has to add on weight. He's about 200 pounds right now. At 6'10 that just isn't cutting it.

He is at 270 now and I thought he was 320 in high school. Either way it is some serious weight loss.

He was listed at 330 but weighed in at 353 at the NBPA Top 100 camp.

I think the point is why can't he or Odo get some more playing time over Darcy Malone. I love Darcy's energy, however is lack of athleticism, particulary his inability to jump or box out (or maybe even make a FT???) makes me scratch my head as to how he gets playing time.

Obviously, I'm not at practice, but I don't see how Odo (or Robinson) could at least be better on the boards (or jump for a rebound at least)

I was just telling my friend at the game last night that Jones must hate Odo or something. he's a fouling machine, but I'm inclined to believe he's better than malone. surely he can't be worse than malone.

Robinson is probably flustered with college work, not playing, and losing weight. it's a big transition for most, so let's see what happens when he settles down this off-season. I'm sure the starting job is his for the taking, if he works hard enough
